BYLAWS AND POLICIES

Ourcurrent Bylaws were approved by our membership during our annualmeeting in May 2000 and were officially adopted in June 2001 afterreceiving final approval from the Committee on Associations and theSenate of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Inearly 2004 the Bylaws and Policies Committee conducted a study of thesedocuments. After carefully reviewing the committee’s proposedrevisions, the Board of Directors recommended that changes be made. Theproposed 2004 Bylaws were approved at the Association’s annual meetingon May 15, 2004. (Note:In this version, the proposed additions are underlined and therecommended deletions are stricken through.) Once we receive finalapproval from the Committee on Associations and the PBK Senate, we willbe able to adopt these revised bylaws.

TheBoard of Directors updated the Association’s Policies (i.e., its operational guidelines) in March 2004. This document is not voted on bythe general membership and is currently being used in theadministration of our organization.
